3rd September 2006 Windsurfing: Overcombe Wind Direction: wsw Wind Stength: f4-6 Surf / Sea State: Air Temperature: Sea Temperature: Weather: cloudy to sun shine Max Speed: Distance Covered: Was thinking overcombe would be good today with some swell & strong winds.Got there at 10ish not long after low tide but it looked shite,very grey no waves & it didnt even look windy! But after driving down thought i might as well give it go. Rigged 5.7m & 95lt board, 1st run out & had plenty of power even though it still didnt look windy.This was fine for a while but soon i was overpowered so changed down to 86lt board.this was just right for a time.The cloud cleared up the sun came out & the wind picked up some more & the 5.7 was way too much now, so out came the 5.0, we now had plenty of wind shame about the waves! Spent a bit of time on the Goya before going down to 76lt board. Had a good time blasting in & out in the bump & jump conditions & overpowered in the gusts just a shame there was no proper waves coming in!!! |
